This week’s blog is on ‘Holding that Hip Hop Baby FREEZE!’
We all struggle with holding our Hip Hop Freezes but with these few handy tips hopefully you will be able to stick that baby freeze in no time!
5 Handy tips on holding that 'baby' freeze!
1. Don't hold the freeze with your face! :-) Your head will rest slightly on the ground but you shouldn't be placing all the weight into your cheek - it's not called a cheek freeze! :-)
2. You need to hold the Freeze on you hands; so to help stabilise yourself you will need to place one elbow into the knee joint and the other elbow into the hip pocket before putting your hands on the ground.
3. Your fingers should be turned away from each other; this will give you more of a platform to help balance on.
4. If your're feeling off balance, try to take your legs wider apart. This will help shift your centre of weight into the main hand (the one that is dug into your hip)
5. Practice! Hip Hop Freezes can be hard to perfect but don't give up. With Practice you will be able to hold that awesome Hip Hop Freeze!
See the picture below to see how your freeze should look!
Good Luck!!
